The Improvising Voice
Presence, Breath, and Expressive Freedom
In this intensive three-hour workshop, we will explore the voice as a living, flexible instrument full of possibilities. Starting from the fundamentals of vocal technique, we will work hands-on on breathing, support, resonance and projection, aiming for a freer, more natural and more resilient vocality during improvised performance.
Through dynamic exercises, vocal games, moments of listening and body experimentation, participants will learn to:
use breath as an expressive engine;
expand volume and presence without strain;
find stability and control even in sudden or unexpected situations;
manage emotional and physical intensity without losing vocal quality;
discover new colors, registers and nuances of their voice;
approach improvised scenes, songs and characters with greater confidence.
The workshop is designed for those who practice theatre improvisation, singing, acting, or simply wish to better understand their vocal instrument. No technical preparation is required: only curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and the desire to play.
A practical and enjoyable journey to discover your authentic, flexible voice—ready to improvise with you.

The Invisible Directing
Seeing/Seeing Oneself
Actor training exercises drawn from Michael Chekhov’s method. Michael Chekhov was the nephew of the great playwright Anton Chekhov and an actor and director in Stanislavsky’s company. Building on his teacher’s teachings, he created a method for training actors based on simple exercises that connect imagination, the “soul,” and the body. After fleeing Russia, he first moved to Germany and eventually settled in the United States, where he became one of the key teachers behind the acting methods used by many major American theatre and film actors.
Bio
Actor graduated from “Paolo Grassi,” teaches improvisation and directs classic texts. His approach combines academic training and improvisational freedom.

Extra-Ordinary
The Object on Stage
Starting from her experience as a puppeteer, Valeria Sacco will guide participants in discovering the expressive potential of objects. Clothes, accessories, and set elements, too often overlooked, can prove to be generous partners capable of stimulating the imagination, drawing on the concrete and poetic strength of the ordinary becoming extra-ordinary. We will begin to experience objects as subjects, just like us: bodies on stage, alive, charged with memory, establishing real relationships with them.
